WESTERN DANCERS is a dance group from Helsinki, Finland. We have been dancing line dances and couples dances in today's country style since the fall of 1993. There are some 15 dancers aged 20-31 in the group. We share the dedication to having fun - both on and off the dance floor!

We have solid experience in dancing for live audiences - not forgetting our appearances on Finnish national television - as well as teaching country dancing. In fact, our very first show back in 1994 was in Tallinn, Estonia. Since then, we've performed in a wide range of private parties, festivals, etc. Our key goal is not to make money, but to introduce country dancing in Finland where dances such as 'Tush Push' and 'Twain Twax' are yet relatively unknown. Apart from performing, we meet once a week to practise.
